(AgapePress) - Pastor Vince Lozano was awakened at 2:30 a.m. on January 22, 2003, and felt a call to pray. It was the 30th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the U. S. Supreme Court decision that made abortion on demand legal across the country. As he spent those early morning hours praying for our nation and for the unborn, Lozano was led to write A Message From the Unborn, in which he does, indeed, give a voice to the unborn child. With stirring poetry and appealing photographs, Lozano's words have the impact of a tiny voice crying out, "I want to live!" It's a small volume -- only 32 pages -- but it has the potential for immeasurable influence when it finds its way into the right hands. The author believes it can help change the hearts of individuals -- mothers, doctors, and government officials included.
When the author and his wife Susan took a copy of the book to one acquaintance, the lady started reading the book, then began crying uncontrollably. She then told them that she was almost 40 years old and pregnant. Earlier that day, her doctor had brought her the list of abortion clinics she had requested. She had already made her choice -- abortion. She said that A Message From the Unborn made her realize her baby was alive, and she could not get an abortion.
"One life saved, one heart changed and millions more to go!" says Lozano. "A Message From the Unborn has a purpose, and we witnessed that purpose firsthand."
Tim Wildmon, president of American Family Association, reviewed the book and said, "Reading this little book is a moving experience. It's more than poetry -- it really makes you 'hear' the unborn child. I'm sure many lives will be saved because of Rev. Lozano's obedience to God's call."
Lozano points out that every 30 minutes, an unborn baby is killed in the United States, and he says the cry of the unborn is "a cry that society has chosen to ignore, yet it echoes throughout the corridors of heaven and touches the heart of God."
He has hope, especially in light of the partial-birth abortion ban signed into law last week by President George Bush. Lozano is encouraged that God has given him a role in trying to turn the tide of our current culture regarding abortion.
"A Message From the Unborn can help change the heart and mind of America by sending ripples through society's conscience," he says.
"The book would be a cherished gift for anyone who values the life of the unborn child," said Wildmon. "More importantly, it can be a life-changing experience for those who have not been in the pro-abortion camp."
