(AgapePress) - A Texas housewife who blew the whistle on a business owner who operated a child adoption agency and numerous hardcore pornographic web sites has been sued. When Becky Swanson discovered that David Dolinsky, who owned an adoption agency called "A Child's Hope International," also operated several hardcore, for-profit porn web sites, the concerned woman provided information about Dolinsky's business activities to a New Jersey newspaper, and also notified the authorities.
Michael DePrimo, an attorney with the American Family Association Center for Law and Policy, says state officials have closed down Dolinsky's adoption agency after discovering multiple violations of state law. "More than that," he says, "state lawmakers who became apprised of the situation passed emergency legislation requiring that thorough background checks be done on anyone who is applying for a license to run an adoption agency."
But now, the lawyer says Dolinsky is suing Becky Swanson for defamation of character. The AFA Center for Law and Policy is defending the Texas housewife against the civil lawsuit.
DePrimo believes Dolinsky's case is without merit. "He's claiming defamation and civil conspiracy," the AFA attorney says, adding, "We believe both those charges are frivolous, and we intend to aggressively defend against them."
The scandal involving Dolinsky has motivated New Jersey lawmakers to approve legislation requiring that the Department of Family and Youth Services revise their licensing procedures for adoption agency owners.
