(AgapePress) - The death of a pregnant California teenager after she took the abortion drug RU-486 has sparked a pro-life campaign among youth in that state and may indirectly result in saving the lives of other young women. The pro-life youth organization Rock for Life has launched a campaign called "Remember Holly Patterson." Campaign spokesman Eric Whittington says a number of young Californians were seeking a way to commemorate Holly's death and honor her memory.
Whittington says the goal of the campaign is simple: "We are using [Holly Patterson's] unfortunate, untimely death to educate others, hoping that they will not go into Planned Parenthood clinics or abortion clinics to kill their child and possibly kill themselves."
According to the pro-life leader, the campaign will consist of photo-illustrated flyers being distributed throughout Southern California. These will show Holly's graduation picture as well as a view of the teenager in her casket.
Whittington says the flyers should help to educate young people in the San Francisco Bay area, California, and even the nation that "abortion not only kills a baby but is harmful to women, spiritually, psychologically, mentally, physically, and even could cause your death."
Rock for Life is hoping that the flyers commemorating Holly's life and death will send an urgent message to young people to stay away from the abortion drug RU-486 and from Planned Parenthood abortion clinics.
