(AgapePress) - A Christian conservative activist says a recent comment by a Muslim terrorist should give State Department bureaucrats and their allies a dose of reality.Sheikh Ahmed Yossin, the founder of the terrorist group Hamas, recently told the German magazine Der Speigel that it will be impossible for a State of Palestine to exist side-by-side with Israel. The terrorist said that the Jews would have to be content with a state somewhere in Europe because "every centimeter of Palestine is occupied territory" -- implying that Jews would be driven from the lands where they have lived for many years.

Gary Bauer of Campaign for Working Families thinks the terrorist leader's statement speaks volumes. "There continues to be this perspective that if we just gave the Palestinian terrorists the land in the West Bank -- and even doing that would require a quarter of a million Jewish families to leave their homes -- that somehow this would bring peace," he says.Nothing could be further from the truth, Bauer says. "The evidence is overwhelming that if anything, that would just whet the appetite of the terrorists who are attacking Israel and are also attacking the United States."
According to Bauer, each generation of Muslims is taught to please Allah by killing the Jew and the Christian. He says the Bush Administration needs to realize that with such an attitude among young Muslims, "peace treaties are not worth the paper they are printed on."
"There will never be peace unless Israel's neighbors recognize the right of Israel to exist as the one Jewish nation in the world," Bauer says.
