Pro-Life Advocate: Holiday Cards Expose Planned Parenthood's 'Anti-God Nature'

(AgapePress) - During a season set aside to honor the birth of the Prince of Peace, a federally funded agency that prevents million of children -- and parents -- from experiencing the joy of birth has once again co-opted the Christmas spirit by promoting its line of "Choice on Earth" holiday cards.

The Planned Parenthood website has announced another release of the cards, saying: "'Tis the season to share with family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones the message of 'Choice on Earth.' Place your orders now for the 2004 Holiday Card." Jim Sedlak is executive director of American Life League's STOPP International -- an organization whose mission is simply to cause Planned Parenthood to "close its doors and get out of town," according to the group's website.

"In its continual attempt to 'normalize' abortion, Planned Parenthood has once again chosen to offend the Christian community," Sedlak says in reference to the greeting cards. "This blatant mockery of Christian values -- and of Christ Himself -- truly demonstrates the bigoted, anti-religion, anti-God nature of Planned Parenthood."

Sedlak contends the cards are in direct contrast to the "open-minded" image the abortion provider tries to portray about itself. "Planned Parenthood has zero tolerance for anyone -- or any religious group -- that recognizes abortion as an evil act that kills a pre-born baby," he says.

Perhaps that message is finally getting across to the general public. Sedlak says people are waking up to the truth about the abortion provider that receives millions of taxpayer dollars each year.

"We think all of the evidence that is coming in says that since about 1995, [or] maybe a little bit earlier, people have really started to understand what Planned Parenthood is about," he says. He points out the agency had a goal in 1992 of establishing 2,000 clinics by the turn of the century. That has not happened.

"They never met their 2,000 goal," Sedlak notes. "In fact, today they report that they have nearly 850 clinics. So they are down almost a hundred clinics since 1995." He says he also expects that number will continue to decline as a result of the hard work of pro-lifers to expose PP's pro-abortion mentality.
