(AgapePress) - Students have a one-stop online shop where they can receive free information from Christian colleges nationwide. The ChristianConnector.com provides students with information from Christian colleges, graduate schools, seminaries, and missions organizations. Currently the website features information from more than 90 Christian colleges, and includes pages with tips on financial aid and admissions.
Thom Seagren, who found ChristianConnector, says the site streamlines the work for students who are looking for information about Christian colleges.
"It allows in essence ... being able to attend a Christian college fair right from your own home without ever leaving your home ..., rather than going to individual Christian colleges, one by one, online," Seagren explains. Via the Internet site, prospective students can browse individual school websites -- or they can take an even simpler route. "They can actually fill out one form in one place and have access to receiving information from over 90 different Christian colleges and universities across the country," the website's founder says.
Seagren explains that he felt there was a need for a resource like ChristianConnector, where students could explore their options in the world of higher Christian education.
"What we really represent ... is a bridge between a student who's seeking Christian college information and the Christian college [itself]," he says. "[F]rom my background of working in the admissions arena, I really saw that this is something that could be helpful to both parties, and for us to, in essence, fill in a gap between the student and the Christian college."
Since it was established, more than 200,000 students have used the ChristianConnector's free services.
