Writers Sense Close Ties Between Terror Groups, Escalation of Conflicts

(AgapePress) - - A Messianic Jewish believer who served as an aide to former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu believes the Iranians had a strong interest in the recent missile tests conducted by North Korea. Joel Rosenberg is the New York Times best-selling author of The Ezekiel Option. Rosenberg believes there is a connection between the recent North Korean test launch of a series of missiles and Iran's support of terrorist activity against Israel. "I personally believe that the North Korean test launch of a missile a few weeks ago is directly related to the war that Iran has set into motion against Israel right now," the author states. "I think these issues are related."
Rosenberg also contends that Iran and North Korea are working together on designing the new long-range missiles. "And I personally believe that Iran requested that North Korea test one of these missiles to see if these things really work," he adds.
The author believes the Iranians want to have that information before launching into a full-scale war against Israel and even the United States. "Iran wants to be able to make good on its vow to wipe Israel off the map and to destroy the United States," he says, "but it needs those long-range missiles to work and nuclear warheads on top of them in order to make that a reality." Congress, he says, needs to allocate more funds to complete the missile defense shield to protect both the U.S. and its allies.
Meanwhile, a nationally syndicated columnist and commentator has added his name to the list of those who believe "World War III" is in progress. Columnist Don Feder says "without a doubt," he agrees with those who say America's war on terror is the latest chapter in what they believe to be WWIII.
"And not only are we in world war, but we have been in that war for at least the last 30 years," Feder says. He contends that one of the first salvos fired in this war occurred during Regan administration. "It was Hezbollah that launched a bombing attack on the Marine compound in Beirut in 1982 that ended up killing over 240 Marines," he points out. "Many people have forgotten about that."
Feder is convinced the terrorist groups involved in conflicts during that time span are meshed together.
"Hezbollah is Hamas is the PLO is Syria -- there's no difference," he says. "They're essentially the same people -- the same people who are capturing and murdering and mutilating American soldiers in Iraq." All of those groups, says Feder, operate under and are driven by the same mentality.
