Christians Voicing Their Concern at Wal-Mart's Arkansas Headquarters

(AgapePress) - - Leaders at Wal-Mart's corporate headquarters are seeing members of a Christian pro-family organization on the grounds this weekend who are looking to witness the gospel and exhort the company to return to its roots.
Operation Save America expanded to a special mission called "Operation Save Wal-Mart" this year, and representatives will be at the chain's Bentonville, Arkansas, corporate headquarters December 14-16. OSA spokeswoman Dr. Pat McEwen says they will be doing the same thing they have done at individual store locations for just over the last month.
"The same thing," he emphasizes. "We intend to proclaim the gospel, because we're really not a protest -- we're a proclamation of the gospel, and we're calling Wal-Mart back to her roots."
She calls them Christian roots -- as well as family and Sam Walton-founded roots -- that have been blackmailed by supporters of the homosexual agenda and abortion industries. And her group's continued appearances at various store locations are necessary, she says, despite Wal-Mart's statement last month that seemed to convince most pro-family opposition that they were backing away from their policy of financials donations and support of homosexual commerce.
"That decision to change their donation policy is really too little and too late," says McEwen, pointing out that Wal-Mart still sites on the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. And that's not all, she says. "They will still give preferential treatment to vendors who are owned by homosexuals [and] they still have over a thousand homosexual sex manuals on their online store," she notes.
Participants in OSA's Wal-Mart "witnessing" campaign vow they will not suspend their activities until the giant retailer withdraws from the NGLCC and removes pro-homosexual literature resources from the company website.
McEwen says she and her group consider the appearances at Wal-Mart sites as attempts to save an old American friend. The website SaveWalMart.com chronicles the activities of the group, and encourages supporters to call or e-mail Wal-Mart president Lee Scott to register their concern.
