GOKAK, KARNATAKA, INDIA (ANS) -- A South Korean team of 14 members from Bethany Methodist Church in Seoul, visited Karnataka state on Sunday, August 12 during their 15 day trip to India, bringing the good news of Jesus Christ. The team consisted of college students and missionaries who were on a field trip to India and was led by Pastor Kim Dae Gyun, a missionary working in India for 17 years, pioneering churches, supporting Gods servants and teaching the Word of God to the people of India.
Talking to ANS, Pastor Kim Dae Gyun said, "I see much ministry opportunities in India. As the Bible says, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.' The workers in India are 'more' but even in spite of all that I see there's much to be done here."
Talking about the condition of the hostages in Afghanistan, Pastor Kim said "Praise God for His wonder in releasing at least two sick hostages. Prayers for the release of other hostages are very much essential. The team to Afghanistan had gone there to show the people how much God loves them. They are ready to show it even if they have to sacrifice their own lives."
The Korean team visited several villages in North Karnataka showing the love of God and sharing the Good news of Jesus Christ through skits, songs and dance. They visited several churches and performed special programs for children.
The team was on a two day program in Karnataka state and they will be visiting Goa and New Delhi to perform their programs.
