WASHINGTON, (christiansunite.com) -- Twin brothers Paul and Rob Schenck will celebrate 25 years of continuous international Christian activism with a Silver Celebration Gala in Washington, DC, Saturday evening, November, 17, at the Renaissance Hotel. Headlining a roster of notable guests will be long-time friend Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice.Paul and Rob have been leading voices on the sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage and the family and the public acknowledgment of God for nearly two decades. Before that the Schenck brothers founded Christian humanitarian relief organizations, two schools, a youth center and urban outreach programs. Together the Schencks have traveled to more than 40 countries representing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
"God has sustained us for this quarter century through the prayers of many friends, the generous gifts of countless financial supporters, and the partnership of hundreds of gifted coworkers," said Rob Schenck. "This is our opportunity to thank these wonderful people. We look forward to sharing this memorable evening with as many as possible."
The Schencks' organization, Faith and Action in the Nation's Capital, is supported by more than 35,000 individuals, pastors and churches located in all 50 states, as well as Australia, Canada, and as far away as China. The brothers have been headquartered across the street from the United States Supreme Court in Washington, DC, since 1999. in In 1994 they relocated their ministry operation from their native Buffalo, New York to Washington, occupying offices close to the White House until they secured their present location.
"The ministry that Rob and his brother Paul have had up here on Capitol Hill has been nothing short of phenomenal," said Jay Sekulow. "I'm looking forward to being at the gala."
"We've seen great success over 25 years, but we're looking for even greater things in the decades ahead, God willing," said Paul Schenck. "November 17 is a time to rejoice with old and new friends, but also to seek their wisdom in shaping the future. Our biggest challenges lie ahead. This ministry is needed now more than ever, that's why this celebration will look as much ahead as it will look back."
