DENVER, (christiansunite.com) -- The Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust will join with other pro-life groups to discuss plans for events surrounding the Democratic National Convention in Denver in 2008.They will outline these plans for demonstrations, concerts and prayer vigils at a news conference on Thursday, November 1 at 12:00 p.m. The news conference will be held in front of the Pepsi Center on Chopper Circle.
The Survivors, a national pro-life youth activism and education organization, will also be addressing the recent restrictive and ambiguous changes to the permit application process implemented by the City of Denver.
Members of the pro-life coalition will also be gathering at the Denver Parks and Recreation Facility Use Permit Office, at 201 W. Colfax, on Thursday, November 1st, at 6:00 a.m. to begin the permit process.
"The Survivors will be at the Democratic National Convention in 2008 as representatives for the victims of abortion - over 50 million people who have died since 1973," says Danielle Versluys, spokesperson for the Survivors.
"We are calling upon the youth of America to join us in Denver next summer as we take a bold, peaceful stand against the injustice of abortion. The Survivors are also calling upon the city of Denver to allow our peaceful demonstrations to take place - do not strip us of our First Amendment right to free speech on the streets of Denver. Our message to the Democratic Party must be heard: it is time to end the war on America's children. It is time to put an end to the barbaric slaughter of innocent children through abortion."
