ATLANTA, (christiansunite.com) -- Tommy Newberry and The 1% Club, Inc. announced today that they have agreed to donate one copy of The New York Times Bestseller, The 4:8 Principle to a U.S. soldier for every copy of The 4:8 Principle purchased on Amazon.com between now and December 24th.Newberry has partnered with Operation Gratitude to help distribute The 4:8 Principle to the troops this holiday season. Operation Gratitude ( www.operationgratitude.com) is the all-volunteer organization that sends care packages of items and letters addressed to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in hostile overseas regions. Its mission is to lift morale, bring a smile to a service member's face and to express to all troops the appreciation and support of the American people. Since its inception in March, 2003, Operation Gratitude has shipped more than 250,000 packages to American troops deployed overseas.
The 4:8 Principle (Tyndale House Publishers) has been a runaway hit since its release on September 1st. The book reached the #1 spot on Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com within weeks of its release. It also appeared at #4 on The Wall Street Journal Nonfiction bestseller list and on Sunday, September 30th, the book debuted at #3 on The New York Times Hardcover Advice/How-To list.
So what is the message of the book that seems to be resonating with so many individuals? The 4:8 Principle has a simple message: Joy is a choice and it's completely predictable.
Research indicates that the average person thinks approximately 50,000 thoughts per day. Each thought either moves us to our God-given potential, or away from it. The book is based on Philippians 4:8, where the apostle Paul challenges us to seek out and dwell on the positives in our lives. Newberry believes that when used as a filter, this New Testament verse is the true secret to vibrant health, satisfying relationships, and lasting fulfillment.
"The 4:8 Principle is helpful to anyone, but especially to those who could benefit from an infusion of hope, optimism, and overall positivity," says Newberry. "Needless to say, that is a rather large market. One group in particular could benefit from the ideas in The 4:8 Principle more than any others and that is ...Members of The United States Military and their families."
Newberry, who is the founder and head coach of The 1% Club, an organization dedicated to helping entrepreneurs and their families maximize their full potential, always believed his book was going to connect with the market.
"I've been teaching the 4:8 Principle for almost 16 years and I've witnessed individuals and marriages transformed using the simple, but deeply effective methods I write about in the book," says Newberry. "However, what has happened since the book's launch on September 1st has certainly exceeded our already very high expectations."
