DALLAS, (christiansunite.com) -- KMA Direct Communications has been named the marketing and fundraising partner for International Bible Society-Send the Light (IBS-STL), one of the world's most enduring nonprofit organizations, and sponsor of the English-language New International Version (NIV) Bible, today's most widely read contemporary translation.IBS-STL has been translating (into languages of more than 1 million speakers) and distributing the Bible globally since 1809. Last year, IBS merged with Send the Light (STL), a 50-year-old distributor of Christian products. The resulting organization, IBS-STL Global, headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colo., is one of the largest Bible and Christian literature ministries in the world.
"After a thorough review, we chose KMA based on the quality of both their team and their resources to take us where we need to go as a newly merged organization," says Cheryl Gardner, vice president of resource development for IBS-STL. "KMA's experience and reputation for excellence and their proven approach to strengthening donor relationships were also major factors in our decision," she adds.
The mission of IBS-STL Global is to help build a strong global Church by engaging people with the life- transforming message of Jesus Christ through translating, producing, and distributing the Bible and other Christian resources throughout the world.
"We're thrilled to be joining the mission of this remarkable organization," says Tom McCabe, KMA chairman and chief executive. "We look forward to helping them significantly grow their donor base and reach their expanded goals for donor revenues in the next few years."
In addition to the NIV Bible, IBS-STL also holds copyrights to Today's New International Version (TNIV), as well as 42 international Bible translations.
