Country Music Television and Faith Time Inc. Announce Partnership to Bring Block of Religious Programming to Cable Starting September 1st, 2008

IRVING, Texas, (christiansunite.com) -- Country Music Television (CMT), a unit of MTV Networks and Viacom, in partnership with Faith Time Inc., announces the formation of Faith Time, a religious programming block. Beginning September 1st, 2008, Faith Time will be viewable seven days a week from 4:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. EST.Faith Time Inc., a media buying agency dedicated to promoting the religious sector, will begin airing religious and humanitarian shows on Viacom owned channel CMT.
The partnership between Faith Time Inc. and CMT will allow for a low pricing policy that will help emerging ministries and churches establish a national television presence; CMT garnishes a built-in audience of more than 88 million households. Faith Time Inc. is confident that its' programs will be well received by Christian religious television viewers. With such an extended reach, CMT will be available to the vast majority of the US population.
"CMT negotiated an impressive deal with Faith Time. This will allow churches, nonprofit business and charities in the religious sector to get their messages out through one of the strongest media venues out there, television, at an excellent price point," said Kevin Cortez of Faith Time Inc. On top of the 1.5 hour programming block, CMT is also offering advertising spots during the day to promote the Faith Time programming block while Faith Time Inc. will manage off-air promotions using advanced technologies including direct mail, live phone operators and IVR that can handle large volumes of calls during telecasts and promotions.

"At half the price of comparable networks, Country Music Television's Faith Time block will quickly become an anchor for the early morning line up. Few networks can claim 88 million households.
