SBA List President Statement Regarding Attacks on Sarah and Bristol Palin

WASHINGTON, (christiansunite.com) -- Today, in response to the recent attacks on GOP Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol, the President of the Susan B. Anthony List offered the following statement:"I am disgusted by the outrageous attacks on Governor Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol," said Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. "The Palin family courageously embraces their pro-life values, and extremist bloggers are excoriating them for it. I strongly condemn the baseless attacks on Sarah's fitness to lead as a mother and Vice President."
"Sarah Palin is a conundrum for the media. She is a traditional woman undertaking a non-traditional role. Instead of celebrating her success, extremist bloggers tear her down while the mainstream media remains silent. I am appalled. If Sarah Palin had aborted her newborn son Trig and her teen daughter aborted her unborn baby, the Palin family would be the darling of 'women's rights' advocates. Instead, feminists and liberal bloggers continue to spread malicious gossip and perpetuate baseless attacks about Sarah's ability to lead.
"It is time for the media and Barack Obama to condemn the vicious attacks on Sarah and Bristol Palin today. It's time civility is restored to political discourse so Americans can turn their attention to more important issues, like the actual policies that will affect every American family."
