HOUSTON, (christiansunite.com) -- Kingdom Racing and The Gathering of Men will host the Spring Men's Breakfast on Wednesday, February 25 featuring Indianapolis 500 veteran Davey Hamilton and spiritual author/speaker Pat Morley."Kingdom Racing is very excited to participate in the Gathering of Men breakfast," said Kingdom Racing founder George Del Canto. "Kingdom Racing's mission is presenting the Gospel to men through racing. Combining the life-changing story of Davey Hamilton with the solid, scripture based guidance from Pat Morley makes this an event perfectly aligned with our mission."
Del Canto and Kingdom Racing hired Hamilton last year to compete in the 2008 Indianapolis 500, finishing on the lead lap in 14th position. It was Kingdom Racing's first entry in the Indianapolis 500 and Hamilton's second race after suffering nearly career ending injuries in 2001. Kingdom Racing and Hamilton plan to compete again in the 500 in 2009. Hamilton will discuss his faith and challenges and rewards of professional racing.
Pat Morley has written several books on living a Christian life, especially for men, and will deliver a message entitled "Surviving the Economic Meltdown," the title of his current book.
The breakfast will be held at the Houston JW Marriott, 5150 Westheimer, across from the Galleria beginning at 6:30 a.m. The event will end at 8 a.m. 700 people are expected to attend.
"Kingdom Racing exists to make a positive impact in men's lives," said Del Canto. "Supporting the Gathering breakfast, its organizers and table hosts, will help Kingdom Racing further our mission and impact men's lives eternally."
