Buffalo, N.Y. - (christiansunite.com) Kingdom Bound Ministries is pleased to announce that internationally-known, multi-platinum selling artists Salvador, Casting Crowns, Israel Houghton, and Newsboys will be headliners at this summer's Kingdom Bound Christian music festival. The major event, now in its 23rd year, will take place August 2-5, 2009, at Darien Lake Theme Park Resort in Darien Center, New York, halfway between Buffalo and Rochester.

"Salvador will kick things off with a Latin-tinged 'praise party,' Casting Crowns features men and women in a band that will have everyone singing along, Israel Houghton's style brings together people from different races and ethnicities, and Newsboys, like U2, put on a rock show that's quite the spectacle, so I expect this year's Kingdom Bound will appeal to a very broad audience," says Mark Weber, of ChristianMusicDaily.com.

Kingdom Bound, one of North America's largest and longest running events of its kind, typically attracts about 55,000 people from all over the United States and Canada for four days of faith, fun, and fellowship through concerts and seminars.

"This year, people are being extra careful with how they spend their money. For as little as $135 per person, Kingdom Bound attenders get access to Darien Lake's more than 40 rides and attractions including a water park, and more than 80 concerts and seminars, plus on-grounds accomodations for four nights," says Weber. "Staying on grounds for the entire festival is a great value for your vacation."

Kingdom Bound starts on Sunday evening, August 2, and continues through Wednesday evening, August 5, culminating in a concert by longtime festival favorite, the Newsboys. Other musical guests at this year's festival include Blues Counsel, Ceili Rain, DecembeRadio, Downhere, Elias, Everyday Sunday, Family Force 5, Fireflight, Francesca Battistelli, Hawk Nelson, Hello Kelly, Ilia, Jason Upton, Laura Story, Lenny LeBlanc, Manafest, Manic Drive, Matt Maher, Matthew West, Mitch McVicker, Natalie Grant, New World Son, Paul Baloche, Phil Joel, Pillar, Relevant Worship, Red, Remedy Drive, Robin Mark, Sanctus Real, Since October, Skillet, Unspoken, and We As Human. Speakers will include: Wes Aarum, Keith Davis, Jerry Gillis, Bob Lenz, Ryan Loos, Justin Lookadoo, David Nasser, Dr. Matthew Sleeth, and Brett Ullman. In addition, this year's Kingdom Bound will feature an Urban Worship night on Sunday, along with several guest "Holy Hip-Hop" artists.

Kingdom Bound 2009 event or day pass tickets are now on sale, and include admission to the majority of Darien Lake's amusement park rides. Specially-priced "after 5pm" tickets are available for commuters. Campsite/RV/Hotel packages are also available. Now is the time to get tickets and/or book your on-grounds accomodations, as prices increase after March 31, so call 800-461-4485 or visit www.kingdombound.org today for more information, tickets, or reservations.
