ANCHORAGE, AK, (christiansunite.com) -- Jennifer Beckham just returned from her tour of three cities with five appearances, bringing a much-needed message of hope, love and healing to the women of Alaska during such a great time of need. Turning pain into purpose, misery into ministry and heartache into heartbeat is the passion and drive behind the ministry of Jennifer Beckham. With suicide rates increasing another 25%, Alaska's trend shows no signs of subsiding. Beckham visited Anchorage, Fairbanks and Barrow while in Alaska working to minister specifically to women who have found themselves in hopeless situations, find it difficult to move beyond their pain and feel they have lost all sense of purpose for living. Her story captures the very essence of God's love for his daughters and shows women around the world that, yes they are of great value, they do have a unique purpose and there is something worth fighting for in this life.
"Alaska is very close to my heart. I have been there three times in the past twelve months and God amazes me every time I go," said Beckham. "The opportunity and need for ministry among the women and girls of Alaska is endless. For God to open the door for me to be a voice of healing and encouragement there is something I take very seriously and am extremely thankful for."
Beckham travels extensively every year speaking at women's conferences, churches and schools. She is also releasing her first book, "Get Over Yourself" scheduled to launch the end of October 2009. Her message to the women of Alaska comes from the theme and principles behind the book. For more information please visit www.getoveryourselfnow.com.
