WASHINGTON, (christiansunite.com) -- The following is submitted by American Life League:

WHAT: American Life League's Personhood Conference will bring together a summit of pro-life human rights leaders to strategically plan the nationwide effort activists say will fulfill the dream of Martin Luther King, Jr. and NARAL Pro-Choice America describes as "the strategy that could outlaw abortion."

WHEN: January 21, 2010, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Washington Court Hotel 525 New Jersey Avenue Northwest, Washington, D.C. 20001

WHO:

Rev. Stephen Broden, Senior Pastor, Fair Park Bible Fellowship, Dallas, Texas

Deal Hudson, director of InsideCatholic.com and the Morley Institute of Church and Culture

Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., pastoral associate with Priests for Life and founder of King for America

Keith Mason, Personhood USA

Rev. Johnny Hunter, Life Education and Resource Network

Jill Stanek, Pro-Life Pulse

Rev. Clenard Childress, BlackGenocide.org

Robert Muise, Esq., Thomas More Law Center

Dr. Dianne Irving, Georgetown University Professor and Medical Ethicist

Rev. Stephen Broden has been a leading voice in the media against racist, anti-life health care reform legislation which he calls "black genocide" and was a featured speaker at the 9/12 rally in Washington, D.C. He will present a "Big Country Approach to Pro-Life."

WHY: In the last year, human personhood efforts have swept the nation as a radically reignited movement to restore respect for the human rights due each human person from his or her biological beginning. Eight states have formally launched human personhood amendment campaigns to their state constitutions and dozens more are organizing initiatives.

The controversial movement is a dramatic shift from pro-life strategy of the last 30 years and is causing controversy even within the pro-life movement itself.

The Human Personhood Conference at American Life League's TAW will bring together leaders who, in the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr., look to establish human rights for all human beings because every human being deserves equal rights under the law and in the culture.

American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro- life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death.
