WHY: In the last year, human personhood efforts have swept the nation as a radically reignited movement to restore respect for the human rights due each human person from his or her biological beginning. Eight states have formally launched human personhood amendment campaigns to their state constitutions and dozens more are organizing initiatives.
The controversial movement is a dramatic shift from pro-life strategy of the last 30 years and is causing controversy even within the pro-life movement itself.
The Human Personhood Conference at American Life League's TAW will bring together leaders who, in the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr., look to establish human rights for all human beings because every human being deserves equal rights under the law and in the culture.
