LYNCHBURG, Va., (christiansunite.com) -- Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the world's largest inspirational network, has announced the launch of its 24-hour youth channel, JCTV, on the campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Liberty, which is the largest evangelical university in the world with over 12,000 students on campus and over 48,000 online students globally, launched its own exclusive service in 2006, using state-of- the-art Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) technology to give students and other on-campus viewers access to a select group of channels wirelessly over their computers or on digital televisions via the Ethernet.

"We're excited to add JCTV to the high-quality channels our students can access through Liberty's IPTV service," said Bruce Braun, Executive Director for New Media Communications at Liberty University. "Its mixture of music, action sports, issues-driven talk shows, and other cutting-edge programs offer positive, inspirational themes that are a great fit for our on-campus student body and our overall university community. We're proud to have JCTV on board."

Since its launch in 2002, JCTV has gained a solid reputation for its edgy and entertaining programming that inspires and challenges young people. "From day one we've put a high priority on making sure everything we air on JCTV is at the top in both content and production," said JCTV's program director Mark McCallie. "We put a lot of effort into developing high- end programs keyed to what's relevant for youth, and that gives us a cutting edge with our core audience."

McCallie noted that Liberty University is one of the first private institutions to use wireless IPTV to offer campus- wide access to television networks and video content. "As the nation's largest evangelical university, Liberty is providing a dynamic model of how private institutions can deliver high-quality news, information, and inspirational programming to its students," he said. "JCTV is honored to be a part of this innovative service."
