Angle Dismayed by Obama's Selection to Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals

Reno, NV (christiansunite.com) -- Sharron Angle (R-NV), a conservative former state legislator who currently leads Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) by double-digits, was offended by President Obama's choice to send Berkley Law Professor Goodwin Liu to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and reminded Nevadans today that Reid cannot be trusted to defend Nevada.

"I'm dismayed by President Obama's nomination of Goodwin Liu to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit -- Nevada deserves better than this," stated Angle. "The Ninth Circuit has been an activist court, telling us that removing God from the Pledge of Allegiance was the right thing to do. Appointing Professor Liu to the Ninth Circuit is just another left turn in the wrong direction towards driving our country over a cliff."

Angle continued, "The selection of Liu proves that Obama prefers somebody who is far removed from conventional American Law. The liberal Ninth Circuit desperately needs somebody committed to properly interpreting our Constitution. Nevada is home to the Ninth Circuit, and unfortunately for Nevada the Ninth Circuit already leans too far to the left. Harry Reid needs to defend the Constitution and tell Barack Obama that the citizens of Nevada are opposed to his nominee."

Angle said Reid can't be trusted to do the right thing. "I point to Harry Reid's dreadful voting record on U.S. Supreme Court judicial appointments; no votes for Roberts, Thomas, Alito, and yes votes for Ginsburg, Breyer, and Souter. Reid is currently conducting his farewell bus tour through Nevada, tossing we the people of Nevada under that bus while Liu gets a free ride. Anybody who still thinks that Harry Reid is independent like Nevada will seriously think again after watching this scenario play out."

Angle said that the Reid campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee will label her an obstructionist. "That's fine," she concluded. "Keep appointing liberals like this, and you can count on me."
