TRENTON, N.J., Aug. 11 (christiansunite.com) -- August 11th, 2010 is the "10th Anniversary of the Choose Life License Plate in America" and The Children First Foundation commemorated the milestone with a celebration and press conference inside New Jersey's magnificent State House in Trenton on Monday, August 9th.

Dr. Elizabeth Rex, President of Children First, brought a Choose Life Tags "photo-cake" and began the festive event with a video that chronicled the amazing progress and success of the Choose Life movement nationwide. The plate first got rolling on the highways of Florida back on August 11, 2000, and since then 24 more states have successfully approved Choose Life plates. To date, over 500,000 Choose Life plates have been purchased and renewed raising over $12 million for hundreds of pregnancy care centers, maternity homes and adoption agencies that compassionately assist pregnant women facing a crisis pregnancy.

During the event's press conference, several distinguished speakers voiced their support, and Dr. Rex explained that Children First is reaching out to its 4,000+ members and supporters in New Jersey asking them to sign a petition, and to respectfully contact Governor Christie to express their support for the approval the Choose Life license plate in New Jersey. (Please visit their website to sign the petition.) www.thechildrenfirst.org/Home.asp

To close the event, Dr. Rex read a letter of encouragement from Russ Amerling of Choose Life, Inc. in Florida in which he expressed his "deepest appreciation for each of you coming to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Choose Life license plate in America. The great state of New Jersey is standing on the brink of becoming the 26th state to approve the Choose Life license plate. Thank you for dedicating your time, effort and resources to pursue this life-saving effort in the Garden State."

The Children First Foundation sends its gratitude to everyone at Choose Life, Inc. and to all the wonderful individuals and organizations all across America that have united behind this effort to build a greater culture of life, one Choose Life license plate at a time.

If you haven't done so already, August would be the perfect month to purchase a Choose Life plate or frame to help "drive home" this life-saving message while driving around the country on vacation. We invite everyone to celebrate every August 11th as "National Choose Life Day" to help promote and celebrate adoption as a life-saving "pro-life choice" that all Americans can support.
