HOUSTON, (christiansunite.com) -- Are you living your life with a "love at last sight" mentality when it comes to your most important relationships?

That's what thousands of people in 150+ churches nationwide will be considering in September and October as they start the 30-day "Love At Last Sight" church challenge. The challenge encourages participants to focus on and deepen three key relationships in their lives over the next 30 days.

Churches from California to Florida and points in between are participating.

"Relationships that endure are not about initial attractions -- the "love at first sight" way of thinking -- but about last things... the experience you shared the last time you were with someone ... the words you spoke last week ... the effort you made for someone the last time you saw him or her," say challenge creators Pastor Kerry and Chris Shook, whose Woodlands Church in the Houston area, along with dozens more across the country, will be starting the challenge on 9/11.

The challenge is based on their new book, "Love At Last Sight: Thirty Days to Grow and Deepen Your Closest Relationships" (Random House/WaterBrook) which can be used by an individual, group or whole church. So that entire families can take the challenge, a 30-day curriculum adopted for children and students is also available for free download from the program's website www.lastsightchallenge.com.

The Shooks' previous NYTimes bestselling book, "One Month to Live", spawned a church movement with over 4000 churches (and counting) taking the challenge nationwide since the program's inception in 2008. They anticipate that many of these same churches will be taking the "Love at Last Sight" program in the coming year.

"Love at Last Sight" offers wisdom from the Bible that contradicts pop culture myths about relationships. With weekly focus and daily readings, participants are guided step-by-step to deeper, more satisfying relationships that last by developing four forgotten but powerful relational arts for changing, improving and repairing the relationships you care about most.

These include:

Week 1 - The Art of Being All There
Week 2 - The Art of Acting Intentionally
Week 3 - The Art of Risking Awkwardness
Week 4 - The Art of Letting Go

Curriculums and a video preview of the program can be found at www.lastsightchallenge.com/challenge-church.asp
