Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr. Issues Scathing Attack on Democratic Party and Urges Black Christians Not to Vote for Democrats

by Staff
October 12, 2010

MEDIA ADVISORY, (christiansunite.com) -- In keeping with a promise to set the black community free from the "death grip" of the Democratic Party, Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr. has issued his first broadside in an Open Letter To The Black Church Community: "The Democratic Party has become a Coalition of the Godless, supported by abortionists, homosexual activists, pornographers, casino gambling, activists calling for legalization of marijuana and the anti-Christian ACLU."

Jackson left the Democratic Party in 1982 because of what he called "an ungodly agenda inconsistent with Christian values." His political action committee (STAND AMERICA PAC) is taking that message to the black church community across the nation, targeting the congressional districts where there is a significant black vote or black conservatives are running. He has already campaigned for, endorsed and contributed to Michel Faulker of the 15th Congressional District of New York, who is trying to unseat Charlie Rangel.

Bishop Jackson's Open Letter accuses the Democratic Party of championing abortion, which disproportionately destroys unborn black children: "The Democratic Party...is the Party of Margaret Sanger's racist plan to kill black children before they are born. Democrats take abortion blood money from Planned Parenthood, and provide tax dollars to help kill unborn babies. The Party to which our churches have given unbridled loyalty for forty years supports the systematic genocide of 500,000 of our children every year. The body parts of black babies are flung across the country with murderous abandon and the black church community has voted for the people who participate in the annihilation of our children."

He also accuses the Democratic Party of advancing the homosexual agenda, which most black Christians oppose. "Democrats are also pushing homosexuality. Their plan includes re-educating Christians in the military to compromise their commitment to the Biblical view of same sex relationships. How long can we vote for those who support policies which defy God, before we must answer to Him for it?"

Bishop Jackson in announcing the release of his Open Letter says, "It is time for black Christians to stop voting for a Party that consistently votes against us and our God. It is time to declare our independence and start voting principle, not party." Below is the link to the full text of the letter.
