WASHINGTON, (christiansunite.com) -- Today, the Susan B. Anthony List announced the mobilization of its 280,000-member grassroots network to lobby Members of Congress to vote for the repeal of the pro-abortion Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) as part of its Stop Abortion Funding campaign. SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser said:

"Keeping abortion out of health care -- as the antitheses to it -- was the critical issue with enough votes to stop or pass healthcare. It was a dramatic caving in on abortion in health care by a group of now former Members of Congress that finally sealed the deal on the bill. A tidal wave of grassroots activity replaced those self-labeled pro-life members with true pro-life Congressmen. Democracy works. Now new pro-life members, sent to correct injustice are doing so. We call on Congress to repeal this law that destroys life using our tax dollars."

On Friday, January 7, the House will vote on a resolution to move forward with repeal of the pro-abortion health care reform law. If the resolution passes, the House is expected to vote on the law's repeal on Wednesday, January 12 along with a motion that instructs Congressional committees to report legislation that will provide protection for unborn Life and the conscience of health care workers.

The SBA List will mobilize its ever-growing 280,000-activist grassroots network to call and e-mail Members of Congress to ask them to vote to repeal the pro-abortion health care law. The Stop Abortion Funding campaign also includes an online petition ( www.StopAbortionFunding.com) which surpassed the 35,000-signature mark as well as efforts to encourage Congress to pass two priority pieces of pro-life legislation. The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, sponsored by Reps. Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Dan Lipinski (D-IL), will create a government-wide statutory prohibition on taxpayer funding of abortion, repealing abortion funding in Obamacare. The Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act, sponsored by Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), will ensure that tax dollars are not sent to abortion providers under Title X family planning grants.

The Susan B. Anthony List spent $11 million during the 2010 midterm election cycle. Overall, the SBA List was involved in 90 races including 62 wins and 28 losses. Successes included: defeating 15 of 20 so-called "pro-life" Democrats who voted for abortion funding in the health care reform bill; increasing the number of pro-life women in the House by 70 percent; filling the void of pro-life women in the U.S. Senate and increasing the number of pro-life women governors from one to four.
