Balfour Books Announces Netanyahu Project

NOBLE, Okla., (christiansunite.com) -- Balfour Books, a publisher of books supportive of Israel, will release historian Benzion Netanyahu's new book, The Founding Fathers of Zionism, this year, along with two other compelling titles.Netanyahu, who turned 100 in 2010, profiles five Zionist leaders from the pre-state days, including his old boss, Ze'ev Jabotinsky.
"It's a tremendously exciting project for us," says publisher Jim Fletcher. "Prof. Netanyahu is a leading Zionist figure of the last century, and he continues to write and research on a grand scale."
A new generation of authors has arisen for Balfour, as well. Fred Taub has written Boycotting Peace, a look at the divestment efforts of Israel's enemies, including mainline Christian churches. President of Boycott Watch, Taub analyzes the efforts to persuade investors to pull away from Israeli companies that operate in the controversial West Bank.
"Fred has fashioned a niche topic that actually speaks to larger issues in a dramatic way; we are really pleased with Boycotting Peace," says Fletcher.
No less important is a new book from Emmanuel Navon, From Israel With Hope. Navon, an Israeli businessman who was born in France, offers a collection of essays that expertly analyze the political situation in Israel, as well as looking at how the international community looks at and deals with the Jewish state.
"Emmanuel is such a gifted writer, and elegant spokesman for his country, that we feel his book will really open eyes about what's really going on there," says Fletcher. "From Israel With Hope is just the beginning, I hope, of a long list of books from a gifted observer."
