FRC Commends Gov. Chris Christie's Refusal to Underwrite Planned Parenthood

WASHINGTON, (christiansunite.com) -- Family Research Council President Tony Perkins commended New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for his veto today of A3273, a bill that would send tax dollars to scandal-plagued Planned Parenthood.The veto follows the release of shocking undercover video footage from Live Action which reveals a New Jersey Planned Parenthood clinic manager assuring a "pimp" that the clinic would secretly offer full access to abortions and other services -- despite acknowledging that the girls were underage victims.
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins released the following statement:
"As the unethical and illegal activities of Planned Parenthood continue to be exposed, the pressure will build not only here in Washington but in states across the nation to end taxpayer subsidies to the nation's largest abortion organization. Undercover sting operations in New Jersey and around the country demonstrate Planned Parenthood's willingness to cover-up sexual abuse and even exploit victims of child prostitution.
"I commend Governor Chris Christie for refusing to underwrite the apparent criminal behavior of Planned Parenthood. His commitment to both human dignity and fiscal responsibility deserve high praise," concluded Perkins.
