King for America E.M.B.R.A.C.E. Life and Family -- Black History Month Celebration Gains a Following

ATLANTA, (christiansunite.com) -- February is Black History Month, and Life Prize Award winner Alveda King, founder of King for America has gathered her friends to celebrate Life and Family as part of a new tradition. "America is at a crossroads, and we need to return to God, to embrace life and family," said the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Events include screening of family friendly movies: FIREPROOF, MAAFA21, BLOOD MONEY, THE TRUTH BEHIND HIP HOP, THE TRUTH BEHIND ABORTION, THE COSMIC CONFLICT OF GOOD AND EVIL, TILLIE, JAMES STILL: THE BLACK DOCTOR OF THE PINES STORY, TALES ABOUT ABORTION, RUBY BRIDGES, NIGHT JOHN: WORDS OF FREEDOM and PAMELA'S STORY.

Topics of interest include Blacks in the Bible, The Hip Hop Industry, Eugenics and Black Genocide, Black Christian Heroes, Building the Black Family, Smart Economics for Black Families, Reaching Black America for Jesus Christ, Educating the Black Community, Building Godly Marriages that Last and Ending the Scourge of Abortion in the Black Community.

The Celebration was kicked off by a pre-season visit from Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, where Alveda is a Pastoral Associate and Director of African American Outreach. "As we were planning to celebrate Black History Month, it seemed fitting to kick off the celebration with an early visit from Father Frank during Martin Luther King week in Atlanta." Father Pavone spoke at Believers' Bible Christian Church in Atlanta, where Alveda has been a member of over two decades.

Guest Ministers include Dr. Virgil Brannon, Founder of I Am Vision, Inc.; Performing Liturgical Dance Minister Valerie Newman; Children's Author Myrna Gale; DeShawn Gill, Bradley Daniely; Chris Capehart, Crimson Founder; John Beal, Brittany McClure, Catherine Davis of the National Black ProLife Coalition; Keith Burkes of Teen Talk Television; Recording Artists Vernessa Mitchell and Angelica Tucker; Mommy Let Me Live Author LaKisha Chapman and many other gifted ministers.

The E.B.R.A.C.E. Month of Black History Celebration ends this weekend. Pro Life/ Pro Family Night on Friday, February 25 at 6:30 P.M. Black Family Day, Saturday, February 26, from 8:30-4 (breakfast, lunch and snacks served). Freedom Concert Sunday, February 27 at 11:00 A.M. All events are free and take place at Believers' Bible Christian Church - 3689 Campbellton Rd., SW.
