IRVINE, Calif., (christiansunite.com) -- The OC Christian Writers Conference announces a book proposal writing contest with two winners earning six-month subscriptions to ChristianManuscriptSubmissions.com. Attendees of the 2011 OC Christian Writers Conference are eligible to submit either a one-page synopsis of their book proposal or query/cover letters for consideration. The two best entries will be announced at lunch during Saturday's conference on April 30, 2011 in Irvine, California.ChristianManuscriptSubmissions.com was established by member publishers of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) as an online service to review unsolicited proposals. This service provides a rare opportunity to have a book idea potentially reviewed by editors of royalty-based traditional Christian publishing houses. Online submission is easy and extensive new-author resources are available on the site.
During the years many authors have been discovered as a result of their listing on the site. One notable writer is Susan Meissner, winner of the 2009 Christian Book Award and author of The Shape of Mercy. She confirms "When you are a new, un-agented writer, getting a manuscript or even a proposal reading by a well-known publishing house can be extremely difficult. ChristianManuscriptSubmissions.com bridged the distance between me and trusted publishing houses by providing a meeting ground that was truly the starting point for my career as a novelist."
