DURANGO, Colo., (christiansunite.com) -- LifeGuard has unveiled a new website and petition to halt the privileges of an abortionist at a Catholic Hospital. The website quotes the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services, citing specifically Directive 45, which states "...Catholic health care institutions are not to provide abortion services, even based upon the principle of material cooperation. In this context, Catholic health care institutions need to be concerned about the danger of scandal in any association with abortion providers."

"Mercy Hospital allows full privileges to Richard Grossman, who violently kills children every week," explained Daniel Anguis, of LifeGuard. "There are no circumstances under which it is acceptable to murder a child, and no circumstances under which a Catholic hospital should collaborate with an abortionist. The scandal of Grossman's presence at Mercy has angered the local faithful Catholic and Christian community for years, and this petition allows us to peacefully and firmly demand that Grossman lose his privileges at Mercy Hospital."

The online petition can be signed at www.mercyprotest.com. Along with the petition, the website announces a protest of Mercy Hospital's longstanding association with Grossman to take place on August 4th. The event will feature Live Action's Lila Rose.

"We are asking everyone to please sign the petition (on the TAKE ACTION page) to express your desire to have this man removed from having "privileges" to practice at Mercy Regional Medical Center," continued Anguis. "If it infuriates you that a man who is so openly anti-Catholic both in actions, and in words, can make a living at an institution run by the Church then please sign the petition, forward it to your friends, and join us August 4th with Catholic Pro Life Leader Lila Rose of Live Action to protest Mercy Hospital."

Since 2006 LifeGuard has been dedicated first and foremost to being the last chance for help to Mothers going into Planned Parenthood of Durango, the only abortion facility within a 200 mile radius. LifeGuard proudly offers adoption assistance, financial support, educational materials, free ultrasounds, and counseling referrals, to aid Mothers and save babies from abortion. LifeGuard is also dedicated to educating the public on the sanctity of human life, strengthening the institution of marriage through Creighton Model FertilityCare (Natural Family Planning), and striving to restore the legal personhood of the preborn child.
